Idaho is a state in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States. It is the 14th most expansive and the 39th most populous of the 50 United States. Idaho is one of only two places in the world where star garnets can be found (the other is the Himalaya Mountains, in India).  Idaho is a big state with lots to see and do. Within the national monument land, which is bordered by the Lower Salmon Falls Reservoir, you can enjoy hiking, boating, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
