1. Millennium Park:
Millennium Park is a public park and it is located in the loop community area of Chicago in Illinois. This park is often described as the Windy City’s front lawn. 2. Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum:
The Adler was founded and built in 1930. This Planetarium opened to the public on May 12, 1930. It was the first Planetarium built in Western Hemisphere and is the oldest one in existence today. The Adler is a great way to learn about space and science. There are 3D shows, Planetarium style performances on everything from big bang to the space junk.
3. Navy Pier:
Navy Pier was built in 1961. It is located in the streeterville. Navy Pier is a 3,300- foot long Pier on the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan. This is a water side playground and jumping off point for steam boat cruises across the great lake.
4. Lake Michigan:
Lake Michigan is the second biggest of the five great lakes and borders not only Illinois but Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. Here you can enjoy boating, cruises, fishing, swimming and so many other things. You won’t be able to spot the opposite shores..it is that big. With 58,000 kilometers of surface area it is the biggest by its measure.
5. Shawnee National Forest:
Shawnee National Forest is located in the Ozark and Shawnee hills of Southern Illinois. Forest headquarters are located in Harrisburg; Illinois. It contains a variety of plants and animals. In this Forest kids get to play on the attractions while the parents can enjoy the other adult stuff like history, nature, great views, etc.
